When it comes to inspiration and motivation, do your friends help you and which people do you look up to alot?

Hi everyone! Lola here!

Sorry for my recent absence, I've been looking for jobs!

Anyway, I've received another question and will be answering it in this post!

But before I do that, I'd like to inform you guys that I've opened up my Facebook account again! I'll be logged in on Saturdays, but purely for promotion (type in "Lola Ferricks" to find my profile, page and group!).

Also, if you have any questions or something you'd like me to help you with, to help with your life goals, don't hesitate to ask. ^^

Here we go!

Another interesting question asked by +Danny Jaggers.
Like everyone else, I can get inspired, motivated or completely crushed by people around me. That's what being human is all about! Living in solidarity or in an individualist society... like ours! :')

Anyway.
It's always inspiring to hear about projects my friends do, especially if they're in similar fields to mine. If they're very good at it, it can make me motivated, because if they can do it, why couldn't I?
I find it's one of the reasons (amidst lots of others) why you should try and find the best entourage in your everyday life. One person can make you feel either inspired or sh***y for the rest of the day (or week, or month... or year... or lifetime). ._.

As a child, I was easily inspired by what I saw on TV or friends around me.
For example, I wrote stories a lot. One day I saw a Simpsons episode where Marge decides to write a book. It inspired me so much I started to write even more!

I like to look at the technical side of artists. It makes me admire their work even more! I do that with celebrities, too (although, at times, there's nothing there to actually admire). It reminds me how much their work needs appreciating, because of all the effort put into it. This is how I get inspired.

Here's a list of well-known people who have inspired me in my recent dreams:

  • Michael Jackson (creating music)
  • Jennifer Lawrence (acting)
  • David Tennant (acting, voice-over work and Scottish sex appeal)
  • James Arnold Taylor (voice-over work)
  • Benedict Cumberbatch (acting)
  • Martin Freeman (acting)
  • Catherine Tate (acting)
  • Ratchet and Clank (not a person, but dramatically changed my drawing style)
  • PewDiePie (Youtube videos)
  • Gad Elmaleh (comedy)
  • Bill Hicks (comedy and not giving a flying f*** about anything)
  • George Carlin (comedy and questioning life)
  • Natsuki Takaya (story-writing and drawing) -> author of the manga Fruits Basket

There are others, but these are all the people I want to meet and take lessons with and pay them in hugs. I love them all!

Your turn to share! Are you easily inspired? What do you do to motivate yourself? Any big influences? Which ones?

Thanks for reading; keep on dreaming!
