Hi everyone! Lola here!
How's your day going? I hope yesterday's post wasn't too long to read! If so, I do apologize... here's a photo of one of my dogs to say sorry. Look into her eyes, she is SORRY. LOOOOK DEEPEEEEER. >:D
Dolly: Forever wanting to play fetch...
Ahem, sorry about that.
So, the next few posts will be based on my previous post, as there's a lot I said in there I'd like to get into in more detail.
At one point in my post, I mentioned writing up a post about what I'd just written. Here's what I said:
"It really doesn't seem fair, to be honest. Between two equal people, one
could want to become a doctor, the other a successful artist. Although
becoming a doctor takes very hard work and studying, that person would
still have a better chance of accomplishing their goal than the artist
who's future is also based on hard work... but also luck. A lot of
luck... right?"
Often, I say to myself "Of all the dreams I could have had, it had to be acting!". That's usually at moments of my life where I really feel under pressure about my current situation and just crack.
In case you hadn't already noticed, I'm quite the pessimist! And it's bloody awful.
But it's true! Want to become a vet? Fine! Get good marks, go to Uni, get that diploma! Okay, that sounded a bit too easy, you have to get those good marks and pass those exams first. But if you're motivated enough, you have your goal in the back of your mind as you work and it helps you keep going until you've achieved your goal.
Now, here's my case.
Want to become an actor? Sure! Just sign up, pay £10,000 each year, work, get your diploma and you're there!
Oh, but wait... I'm not a rich kid, so I can't become successful in something I really want to do. I forgot that. .-.
And, hold up, there's another problem! Once I have my diploma, I'm going to look for a job in acting... but what about an income? I need a job on the side!
Oh, good news! I can become a cashier, a bartender, a waiter, or something else just as amazing with a real future, while I waste money on castings I might never pass and end up drowning in debts! What a wonderful life it must be. ^^
It all comes down to this, in the end: I HATE THE MONEY SYSTEM.
But that's another story. :3
So, yeah, I'm going to be careful, use my languages to get a diploma, get a proper job and try and get into acting then. If my career doesn't get in the way... urgh... there aren't many ways around this.
WELL THEN, I thank you for listening to my never-ending rants. Felt kinda good! Dunno about you, though, haha. I might have to make another apology in the next post. :')
What are your dreams? What kind of problems do you have to face to make your dreams come true?
If you have any comments to make, feel free to express yourself. I often see things in complicated ways from endless over-thinking and sometimes need everything simplified. :P Or a good punch in the face. .-.
Thanks for reading, keep on dreaming! <3
~ Lola out!
Good post Lola, yeah the money system does suck, but its part of life and we've got to deal with it.
ReplyDeleteI know, but it feels good to have a rant about it. :P
DeleteYeah that's true, it is good to get it off your chest.
