Hi everyone! Lola here!
This dream might be of interest to you, because a lot of my followesr have also subscribed to me on Youtube (here's my channel). :)
Before I get into it, though, I'd like to remind you about this previous post in which you can share your very own life dreams and goals. I'll be featuring some answers in a later post. ^^
Today's story: My dream of becoming a full-time Youtuber... (half-present)
That's another risky dream to add to the collection!
Why half-present? Because it's not that easy to become a full-time Youtuber, and yet, I'd still like to try and manage a serious job and Youtube channel to vent out my creativity.
The Birth Of My Dream
My dream of making Youtube videos started years back. I was about 14. I didn't know you could make money off of it yet, though.
At 16, I put up my very first music video. News about it traveled all around my school. I had relished every moment of making it, even though I had some problems with sound and video-editing (who doesn't?).
The next year, I did the same thing. I put up another music video dedicated to my friends. It was a little more conplex that the first, but that made it even more fun to make!
I uploaded videos very slowly, at most two a year... I wanted all my videos to be good.
A few months back, I discovered, thanks to a friend, the magical world of +PewDiePie . I then learned that you could make money off Youtube. It seemed like such an amazing job! To get paid for doing something you love... not many people get that opportunity. I want to try.
Inspired by +PewDiePie , I created my very first Let's Play. I only got one part up, though. Sadly, I lost the rest of the footage.
I tried to make videos more often, but it wasn't working out. I was at University, and didn't have the equipment I needed to make any kind of video, except for a one-shot. I've been making update videos whenever I don't post videos often enough.
Sadly, since I can't spend much time making videos, the quality of the content has got very poor. I know that I can't afford to make videos all the time because I have to try and get my language diploma and there's no point making bad videos that no one is interested in.
When I realized that, later on this year, I decided to try anyway, just as a side-project. I don't know if I'll succeed, but it's really fun!
I'll actually be making another updates video soon with some important information, because I haven't done much recently, due to exams.
My Plan So Far
This isn't very different to my acting plan, really, except that I've already started.
I plan to work at University and make videos during the holidays when I have the time and I have the equipment back at home.
Getting successful on Youtube takes years (if it happens at all), so when I finish University and look for a job, in the meantime, I'll be making more videos.
When I do get a job, I'm not really sure what'll happen. It all depends on my schedule, and it might not allow me to create videos at all, in which case, I'll be a very sad little slave in a very happy big society.
So yeah, I'm not as into this dream as the others. It'd be a great job, but I can't expect just to become successful. Plus, who knows how long Youtube will keep its business up?
Thanks for reading, it's great to see there are still people out there who take the time to actually read stuff. :P
Feel free to leave a comment. ;)
Thanks for reading; keep on dreaming!
~ Lola out!
